Gnosis 02: Branches

Gnosis 02 ensues tomorrow  Saturday the 15th of June on the first floor of Aatma in Manchester, it’s an 18+ event hosted by Providence144 this is the second show in the Gnosis series titled Branches; In terms of sound Providence said broadly it would fit as experimental, there is going to be quite a rage of genres, doors open at 11pm seeing the event finish at 4am in the morning.

Gnosis began last March with their first show hosting many of Manchester’s underground with its sequel including artists Haych and Lipgloss providing original sounds stemming from indie-synth pop to cloud rap with similar sorts of styles; not to mention Zergchild’s industrial drums and expert beats alongside Saska, NeoLeo and DJ abejisama bringing their upbeat dance tunes to the stage.

Tickets available now on final release online for £8.50 on Resident Advisor.

QnA W/ Haych

Q: Last time we spoke you said your goal for this year was to start doing shows, it’s been just over 6 months know how’s that gone for you?

A: Well I got myself a show didn’t I? I also performed a bit at my friend Imogen’s show , that was really cool I got to do Imogen’s auto tune and sing for 30 seconds it was awesome.

Q: What have you got planned for your set tomorrow is there anything you’d like to share with people before they come out.

A: We got Trapstar Pretty coming down from Scotland to do a tune and some of Slackerfolk/honorary members.

Q: How did you first get involved with gnosis, what can you say about the event and your fellow performers and what you’re all bringing tomorrow.

A: I got involved with Gnosis through Providence I met them at Koma-oto, they asked If I liked Viizzi and I said yeah of course he’s a good friend of mine then Providence asked me if I’d go to a show where Viizi was performing and I said absolutely. Then the day after I DM’d Providence to ask if they had any spaces available on the show I’d love to perform. And they were like oh yeah sure I’ll consider you and I didn’t think they would actually do it but they did! They messaged me back 2 weeks later and were like we need a logo and I was like OMG!!

Q: Recently you released we’re not lost we’re just picking up the pieces what’re your goals for the rest of the year?

A: It feels great to have released we’re not lost I’ve been working on it since 2021, so it was great to finally get it out there and people really really liked it and that made me happy. I’m very early in the stages of working on a new mixtape that’s gonna release towards the end of the year, it’s gonna be like hella songs and loads of features, and also I’m gonna release a couple collab EP’s. Me and Angel are gonna do an EP and also I think I’m gonna do one with Trapstar Pretty.
